NanoCentral Hold pre-Conference Seminar on Nanotechnology

For the first time, NanoCentral will be holding a pre-Conference seminar, "An Introduction to Nanotechnology", on the afternoon of 7 June. It will take place at Hotel Russell, London at 16.00 pm - 19.00 pm and is designed for those who have heard of nanotechnology, but are unsure what it can do to promote growth in your business. Thomas Swan & Co. Ltd. Becomes the First Organisation Accredited to AssuredNano

AssuredNano®, the premier Safety Health and Environment (SHE) Accreditation Scheme for organizations involved with nanotechnology has announced that Thomas Swan & Co. Ltd., a world leader in single wall carbon nanotube manufacture, has become the first organization accredited to its Nanomaterials SHE Scheme. Following lengthy and exhaustive beta testing of the Scheme, which covers manufacturing procedures, risk evaluation, handling, transportation and training, Thomas Swan & Co. Ltd. underwent rigorous auditing by expert consultants to become accredited. Accreditation is followed up by subsequent annual independent audits.

 
 
INSCX launched at NanoMaterials2010

At NanoMaterials2010, Charles McGovern, CEO of INSCX gave a presentation entitled “Establishing a commodity exchange for nanomaterials -- formation, structure and key advantages”  to the audience during the first morning plenary session.  The INSCX exchange is the world’s commodity exchange for trade in accredited, compliant and validated engineered nanomaterials. The exchange trading platform is scheduled for live launch first quarter 2011.

Carbon nanotubes that look like asbestos, behave like asbestos
