Stephen Cash – Non Executive Chairman

Stephen CashStephen has over 25 years experience with ICI plc holding a full range of commercial positions. Establishing the world’s first commercial route to single-walled carbon nanotube manufacture during his 11 years at Thomas Swan & Co. he took Thomas Swan to be the premier manufacturer worldwide. He has a proven ability to create commercial value from new technology and set up Screen Technology Ltd. based on PLLCD technology, which is now floated on AIM as Screen Technology Plc. Stephen is also non-executive Director on 4 high-tech start up companies and sits on the advisory board of the Materials Science Department of Cambridge University and on a number of Industrial/Academic projects in materials science. A keen proponent of nanomaterial and nanotechnology SHE, Stephen was responsible for the SHE systems adopted by Thomas Swan in developing their nanotube manufacturing facility. Subsequently he has been heavily involved in the RefNano project run by the Institute of Occupational Medicine and associated nanomaterial SHE initiatives.

Keith Robson – Chief Executive Officer

Keith RobsonKeith has over 25 years experience in micro and nanotechnology.  During that time, he has held a wide variety of positions ranging from process and product development through business development and marketing to general management in markets including occupational health, electronics, encapsulated products, specialty chemicals and coatings.  For much of his industrial career, Keith has had management responsibility for technical, quality and SHE aspects of micro and nanomaterials.

He has successfully delivered innovation and business growth in a number of blue chip companies including 3M, Tioxide and ICI.  Following ICI, he was for four years Managing Director of a £10M pa t/o SME in the Northwest of England, a subsidiary of the US Corporation, Gerber Scientific.  Immediately, before joining AssuredNano, he played a prominent role in setting up NanoCentral under the DTI’s MNT Capital Facilities programme.

Keith holds a PhD in Chemistry and a BSc in Chemistry and Geology from the University of Durham.  He also has an MSc in Electrochemistry from the University of Newcastle–upon-Tyne and an MBA from Durham University Business School.  Before going into industry, Keith was a Post-doctoral Research Fellow studying surface adsorbed species using facilities at AERE Harwell and the Institut Laue Langevin, Grenoble.
